What is individual Therapy?
At PDX Therapy Center, we work with individuals to help them navigate difficult emotions and situations. We conduct a detailed assessment of each individual in order to create a plan that is tailored to you. We then use specific, evidence-based interventions to help you reach your specific goals. Here at PDX Therapy Center, we recognize that each person is unique and different, and we work with you to access the strengths you already possess to have a more enjoyable and fulfilling life.
What if I’ve tried Therapy before and it didn’t work?
Finding the right therapist for you can be hard. We understand that not every therapist will be the right fit for every client. That is why PDX Therapy Center uses a collaborative approach with each individual. While we are confident we will be able to provide you the support you are looking for, if you don’t connect with your therapist, we will help you find someone who is a better fit.
What should I expect in therapy?
Individual therapy can seem scary at first. That’s why when you first come into PDX Therapy Center, your therapist will spend some time getting to know you and asking questions to better understand your specific concerns. We believe that every individual is capable of change. Together we’ll identify areas that are already working in your life and draw from them to find new ways to deal with difficulties.

We help people struggling with a multitude of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, work and life stress, LGBTQ and gender struggles, and many more.
